Quando le istituzioni danno priorit\u00e0 all&#8217;uguaglianza di genere, non solo sostengono i principi fondamentali della giustizia e dei diritti umani, ma sfruttano anche il pieno potenziale del loro corpo studentesco e dei loro docenti. Affrontando le disparit\u00e0 di genere nelle iscrizioni, <strong>nel mantenimento<\/strong>, nella leadership e nell&#8217;accesso alle risorse, gli istituti di istruzione superiore possono promuovere l&#8217;innovazione, la creativit\u00e0 e l&#8217;eccellenza. Inoltre, la promozione dell&#8217;uguaglianza di genere nel mondo accademico contribuisce al raggiungimento di obiettivi sociali pi\u00f9 ampi: abbattere gli stereotipi, promuovere la giustizia sociale e costruire un mondo pi\u00f9 equo per le generazioni future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Secondo il rapporto 2021 She Figures, nel 2018 solo un terzo dei ricercatori nell&#8217;UE erano donne e le loro condizioni di lavoro erano inferiori.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le donne sono ancora sottorappresentate negli organi di governo delle universit\u00e0, nei ruoli di rappresentanza delle universit\u00e0 e nei vari livelli del processo decisionale universitario. Tradizionalmente, le aree di conoscenza e i campi di ricerca con una presenza maggioritaria di donne non hanno ottenuto lo stesso riconoscimento di altre, e i campi incentrati sulle questioni di genere sono rimasti del tutto al di fuori della cerchia del riconoscimento accademico. Gli studenti svolgeranno un ruolo chiave nel progetto, che non solo li aiuter\u00e0 a comprendere meglio l&#8217;uguaglianza di genere, ma contribuir\u00e0 anche a creare una comunit\u00e0 accademica pi\u00f9 inclusiva e diversificata che abbraccia il cambiamento dall&#8217;interno.
