The PRO-GENDERING project officially kicked off on 6 November 2023 with its first Transnational Project Meeting, bringing together representatives from six organisations across Europe to set the foundations for the project\u2019s work on gender equality in higher education.<\/p>\n
The online meeting brought together the University of Macerata (Italy), KMOP (Greece), SA NAUK (Poland), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnchen (Germany) and Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania). The University of Macerata coordinates the project, while KMOP leads its communication and dissemination activities.<\/p>\n
During the kick-off meeting, the consortium discussed the project\u2019s objectives and work plan. PRO-GENDERING focuses on fostering a gender-equal culture in higher education institutions, supporting the implementation of Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) and strengthening student engagement in these processes.<\/p>\n
The first stage of the project will focus on understanding the needs and resources available for implementing GEPs across the participating countries. Partners will conduct interviews with HR staff, researchers and experts working on gender equality, as well as a survey targeting university staff, students, researchers, educators and managers.<\/p>\n
The results will contribute to the development of a Google Slides book and national reports, providing insights into existing practices and needs related to gender equality in higher education.<\/p>\n
Communication and dissemination will play an important role throughout the project. Led by KMOP, these activities will include the development and maintenance of the project website, digital publications, social media activities and events to share the project\u2019s results with relevant audiences.<\/p>\n
The kick-off meeting also marked the beginning of close collaboration among the six organisations, with partners agreeing on the next steps for the project\u2019s implementation, evaluation and quality monitoring.<\/p>\n
The consortium will now move forward with the first research activities, laying the groundwork for resources and approaches that can support higher education institutions in strengthening gender equality and student participation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
