{"id":965,"date":"2025-11-06T09:40:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T09:40:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pro-gendering.eu\/?p=965"},"modified":"2026-09-23T09:47:32","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T09:47:32","slug":"pro-gendering-brings-students-together-to-explore-gender-equality-in-academia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pro-gendering.eu\/?p=965","title":{"rendered":"PRO-GENDERING brings students together to explore gender equality in academia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Students from partner universities presented their ideas and projects on gender equality during an international workshop organised as part of PRO-GENDERING.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On <strong>4 November 2025<\/strong>, students and representatives from partner universities came together online for the international workshop <strong>\u201cGender Mainstreaming in Academia: Students\u2019 Small-Scale Projects\u201d<\/strong>, organised within the PRO-GENDERING project.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop provided a space for students to present the <strong>small-scale projects they developed around gender equality in academia<\/strong>, exchange ideas and reflect on the role students can play in creating more inclusive higher education environments.<\/p>\n<p>The event opened with welcoming remarks from <strong>Aleksandra Zaj\u0105c of Spo\u0142eczna Akademia Nauk (Poland)<\/strong>, followed by an introduction to the PRO-GENDERING project by <strong>Isabella Crespi from the University of Macerata (Italy)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The main part of the workshop featured <strong>student presentations from partner universities<\/strong>, showcasing different perspectives and approaches to gender equality in academic settings. The presentations were followed by a discussion panel focusing on <strong>gender equality in academia<\/strong>, giving participants the opportunity to reflect on the challenges and opportunities identified through the students\u2019 work.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop concluded with reflections and a summary of the key points discussed, highlighting the value of involving students in conversations and initiatives around gender equality.<\/p>\n<p>By giving students an active role in the project, PRO-GENDERING supports a more participatory approach to gender mainstreaming in higher education and creates opportunities for students to contribute their perspectives to discussions on equality and inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was part of PRO-GENDERING\u2019s wider programme of activities aimed at promoting <strong>gender equality and inclusion across higher education institutions in Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students from partner universities presented their ideas and projects on gender equality during an international workshop organised as part of PRO-GENDERING.
