Launch of Students’ Small-Scale Projects under Pro-GENDERING Initiative
📅 October 29, 2025

On 23 September 2025, KMOP hosted an introductory session in Athens with students from the University of West Attica, marking the official launch of their small-scale projects within the Pro-GENDERING initiative.

The session provided a comprehensive introduction to gender mainstreaming in academia, combining theoretical insights with practical guidance on project management. Through interactive group work, students had the opportunity to brainstorm, shape, and develop their own project ideas.

Participants were equipped with valuable tools, including the GEP Handbook and the Awareness-Raising Toolkit, designed to help them translate knowledge into action. These resources support students in promoting equality and inclusion within their universities, turning concepts into meaningful initiatives.

The session highlighted the importance of empowering students as active agents of change, fostering a culture of gender equality and inclusivity in academic settings.

The launch marks an important step in the Pro-GENDERING initiative’s mission to encourage innovative student-led projects that contribute to a more inclusive and equal university environment.
