The PRO-GENDERING consortium met in Brussels on 12 June 2026 for its seventh and final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), hosted by Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). As the project enters its final phase, partners reviewed progress, discussed the remaining activities and looked ahead to the completion of the project’s work on gender equality and inclusion in higher education.
The meeting focused particularly on the development of national policy reports and stakeholder roundtables. Based on the assessments and good practices identified throughout the project, partners are preparing recommendations to support higher education institutions in strengthening gender equality and inclusion. Stakeholder roundtables in the participating countries will provide an opportunity to discuss these findings with universities, researchers, students, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders.
KMOP has completed the internal assessment and mapping of good practices for Greece and prepared the first draft of the national policy report. A national stakeholder roundtable is also being organised, bringing together representatives from universities and gender equality committees across Greece to discuss the findings and recommendations.
The consortium also reviewed the project’s communication and dissemination achievements. The PRO-GENDERING website has reached 921 active users and around 9,000 event interactions, while the project’s Facebook and Instagram channels have reached approximately 3,000 people through 32 posts. Four newsletters have been published so far, with the final editions focusing on the project’s multiplier events, policy roundtables and results.
The project’s multiplier events have further supported stakeholder engagement, with several events attracting dozens of participants and some reaching more than 100 people. These activities have helped bring the project’s findings and resources to a wider audience and encourage discussion around gender equality in higher education.
In the coming months, partners will focus on completing the remaining national policy activities, finalising communication materials and consolidating the project’s results. The final project activities will be completed by the end of August 2026, followed by the final reporting and publication of the project’s results.
The PRO-GENDERING project is now approaching the end of its three-year journey, bringing together European higher education institutions and organisations to promote gender mainstreaming and create more inclusive academic environments. Its findings, recommendations and resources will continue to support stakeholders working towards greater gender equality in higher education.
